The Texas A&M System shall maintain a System-wide Pay Plan focused on attracting, retaining and rewarding a qualified and diverse workforce. Within the boundaries of financial feasibility, employee compensation shall be externally competitive and internally equitable.
The Texas A&M System implemented a new System-wide Pay Plan consisting of a standardized collection of titles and pay grades designed to be used across the A&M System. This collection of titles is The Texas A&M System-wide Pay Plan, and it enables all System Member institutions and agencies to have access to consistent and timely information for new and existing employees.

The Texas A&M System-wide Pay Plan Salary Structure (three different salary structures were developed to accommodate geographical differences). The Texas A&M System-wide Pay Plan is maintained by utilizing a Pay Plan Committee chaired by the Pay Plan Administrator at the System level.
