NAIA bans transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports
The Department of Education (ED) has signaled that the previous Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on transgender participation in intercollegiate athletics will not be included in the coming new Title IX regulations, but it remains an open question as to whether or not such a ban by leagues, conferences, or state legislatures will violate Title IX on its face when those regulations are released.
Nonetheless, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has passed a ban on transgender participation in women’s sports. Here is a link to the article.
