About SECO
The System Ethics and Compliance Office (SECO) was established in May 2012 with the approval of System Policy 16.01 by the Board of Regents and System Regulation 16.01.01, approved by the Chancellor. The SECO reports directly to the General Counsel, with access to the Board of Regents Committee on Audit and Chancellor. The Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System is committed to the highest standards of integrity in all areas of ethics and compliance, and resolves that such activities undertaken by system faculty, staff, and students should be conducted in accordance with strict ethical principles and in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, system standards and other applicable requirements.
We must achieve the highest level of compliance with applicable ethical, legal, regulatory, and system standards and requirements performed within the system. We must also promote an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, and system standards.
SECO Mission
