SECO Listservs

The System Ethics and Compliance Office (SECO) has developed a number of internal listservs to promote communication between system members and the System Offices. The following listservs have been created:

    1. These listservs have been established solely for the purpose of facilitating conversations regarding civil rights compliance and enforcement within The Texas A&M University System.
    2. The listservs for ADA/504 Coordinators, Compliance Officers, and Civil Rights Officers/Title IX Coordinators are restricted to those who are employed professionally in each of these roles within the A&M System, as well as SECO staff.
    3. The listservs for Adjudicators, Informal Resolution Practitioners, and Investigators are restricted to those who member personnel who are trained in these areas and providing this service to the system and/or a system member, as well as SECO staff.
    4. The listserv for the Civil Rights Interest Group is open to all members of any other SECO listserv, as well as student, employee, and third party members of civil rights stakeholder groups.
    5. All listserv members must utilize their member email address.
    6. All listserv members must utilize the naming designation provided by SECO upon joining the list. For SECO members, this includes Name (SECO). For Civil Rights Officers/Title IX Coordinators, this includes Name (CRO/TIXC/MEMBER), and for all others this includes Name (MEMBER).
    7. All listserv members must use their member email address for SECO listservs.
    8. All listserv members are expected to utilize the naming conventions provided to SECO about joining. For SECO members, this includes Name (SECO). For Civil Rights Officers/Title IX Coordinators, this includes Name (CRO/TIXC/MEMBER), and for all others this includes Name (MEMBER).
    9. All SECO listservs are intended to be a safe space for list members to ask questions, gather advice and support, and expand their knowledge. Therefore, it is an expectation that members will respect the privacy of posts and not share them beyond the listserv without the permission of those involved in any conversation that someone is seeking to share.
    10. All listserv members are welcome to post and/or respond to posts on any of the following topics: a) Articles/news items of relevance to that list, b) Information and questions about federal and/or state civil rights laws and their enforcement, c) Information and questions about System Policy 08.01 or any of its regulations or appendices, d) Information and questions about best practices in civil rights compliance, e) Information and questions about resources, training, and training materials, f) Information about the online operational manuals, g) Information on relevant events of interest taking place, and h) Requests for assistance from members.
    11. Please do not insult other members in listserv posts. Be kind.
