Robert J. Brown
Robert Brown practices in the Health & Business Affairs section. He advises and assists the A&M System and its members on a wide range of matters related to research and intellectual property.
Robert joined the Office of General Counsel in 2022 bringing with him over 11 years of service working in various roles in university administration. He started his university career as a Legal Associate in the Office of General Counsel at Cleveland State University and was later selected as CSU’s Director of Technology Transfer and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio advising on various matters including research compliance, contracting, policy development and interpretation, intellectual property protection and commercialization. Additionally, Robert served as the Assistant Director and ex officio Board Member of the CSU Research Corporation. Following his time at CSU, Robert served 7 years at Louisiana State University as the Assistant and Associate Director of LSU’s Office of Innovation & Technology Commercialization.
