Mark Kelley

Mark Kelley practices in the Health and Business Affairs area.  His practice includes advising The Texas A&M University System and its members on various matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, licensing, technology transfer, intellectual property enforcement and litigation, business transactions, commercialization issues, and system intellectual property policies and regulations. Mark reviews and drafts intellectual property agreements, corporate formation documents, and advises on legal issues for the Texas A&M Technology Commercialization and member commercialization offices. Additionally, he serves as the Office of General Counsel’s liaison to the Texas A&M Technology Commercialization and Texas A&M Transportation Institute.

Mark joined the Office of General Counsel in September 2013. Before joining the OGC, he was corporate in-house counsel for an international telecommunications company for over nine years. He specialized in intellectual property analysis and enforcement, negotiated licenses and settlements with international companies, and provided legal analysis for intellectual property issues and litigation. In addition, Mark was an associate at a law firm for five years, and his practice specialized in patent prosecution, intellectual property protection, and enforcement. Before attending law school, he owned a company that provided supervisory control and acquisition systems, and software for the oil and gas industry.
