Police Officer Commissioning

According to TAMUS Policy 34.06: Appointment, Commissioning and Authority of Peace Officers, all newly appointed campus peace officers within The Texas A&M University System and peace officers of the Texas Forrest Service must be approved and commissioned by the system Board of Regents.

The Texas A&M University System Office compiles all member submissions for newly appointed peace officers and submits a single agenda item from The Texas A&M University System to the Board of Regents. Members must submit a completed Peace Officer document listing all newly appointed peace officers as well as a copy of each new officer’s TCOLE Appointment Application (L-1) to PDagendaitems@tamus.edu according to the schedule below.
