PUBLIC NOTIFICATION FOR SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDANCE

The Texas A&M University System and its universities and agencies should provide a link to the A&M System Public Notification for Social Media. This public-facing document notifies the public of the policy areas that impact the public’s use of the social media tools by the A&M System and its universities and agencies. This public notification was created to assist the A&M System and its universities and agencies with complying with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Social Media Policy. In addition to linking to this A&M System Public Notification for Social Media, member universities and agencies are encouraged to also provide links to any other institutional policies which may apply to the public’s use of institutional social media tools.

The Texas A&M University System currently has master service agreements in place with social media management companies Hootsuite and Sprout Social.
