The Texas A&M University System is dedicated to helping you live a healthy lifestyle and improve your health. There are many programs included with your medical benefits that can help you; find a doctor, get mental health support, relieve pain, have a healthy gut, help with family planning and much more.

With AccoladeCare, you can see and speak with a board-certified doctor or therapist right from your phone, tablet or computer. You have access to doctors who have trained at the top 50 U.S. medical schools, same-day virtual visits, physical and mental health support, and 24/7 support from your care team.

AccoladeCare will support you and your family with:

  • Urgent medical issues: cold and flu, urinary tract infections, sinus and baterial infections and rashes.
  • Ongoing Conditions: diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, thyroid disorders.
  • Everyday care: prescription and refills, birth control, HIV Prevention (PrEP).
  • Mental Health: anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, grief and loss, trauma.

Accolade is available to employee, spouses, and dependents enrolled in the A&M Care or J Medical Plan. Graduate student employees in the Graduate Student Plan and retirees enrolled in the A&M Care Plan that are Medicare Primary or the 65 Plus Medicare Advantage Plan (PPO) are not eligible.

 

Airrosti is a combination of highly targeted manual therapy with customized active rehab exercises to target and rapidly resolve the source of your soft tissue pain or injury. It is covered by a specialty copay.  It is a voluntary wellness program, so check with your wellness coordinator to see if there is an Airrosti program near you.

Cylinder is a benefit to help you maintain a healthy gut. A healthy gut helps maintain overall health, weight management, sleep quality, joint health, how we manage stress and anxiety, and more.

What can Cylinder do for you?

  • Provide relief from common digestive issues. Do you experience gas? Bloating? Heartburn? The Cylinder app, together with a dedicated Cylinder Dietitian, can help you ease common symptoms without giving up all the foods you love.
  • At-home gut microbiome kit and analysis ($150 value at no cost to you). Discover which bacteria are living in your gut, and work with a dedicated Dietitian to understand what that means for your health, based on the latest science.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas members have access to the Fitness Program and  is available exclusively to you and your covered dependents (age 16 and older). The program gives you access to a nationwide network of fitness locations. Choose one location close to home and one near work, or visit locations while traveling. The Hello Heart app lets you track your blood pressure and easily manage your heart health all in one place. This benefit is offered at no cost to eligible members and includes a free Hello Heart monitor that pairs directly with your smartphone.

Ovia Health™ is a women’s health and family benefits solution to help navigate cycle and fertility tracking, to parenthood and menopause. The Ovia programs are app-based and include real-time, personalized guidance that features health trackers, educational articles and videos, health tips, in-app coaching and more.

The Texas A&M University System offers a fitness program for retirees age 65 and older. The Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness program is the nation’s leading fitness program designed exclusively for older adults.  This program provides A&M System retirees a free, basic fitness membership with access to 15,000 classes in 13,000 locations nationwide. Teladoc is a program specifically for those diagnosed with Type I or Type II diabetes. You will be contacted by Teladoc if you are determined to be eligible for the program. You cannot apply to join the program without being contacted.

The Teladoc diabetes program includes:

  • An advanced meter
  • Unlimited strips and lancets
  • 24/7 support from Teladoc Expert Coaches

Get your life back–and leave diabetes behind. Virta is a virtual clinic that helps members create plans for better health with support from health care clinicians, coaches, and digital health tools. With Virta, you can reverse type 2 diabetes, lose weight, reduce medications, and save money.

What Virta members receive:

  • A nutrition therapy plan backed by clinical research
  • Tips to make meals tasty and healthier

Am I eligible?
The A&M System fully covers the cost of Virta (valued at over $3,000) and is available to A&M System employees, spouses, retirees, or dependents with type 2 diabetes (18+) who are enrolled in the A&M Care or J Plan. Graduate student employees enrolled in the Grad Plan and retirees enrolled in the 65 Plus Medicare Advantage Plan are not eligible. Some campuses and agencies within the A&M System offer Wellness Release Time. For System Office employees, visit the System Office Wellness page for more information or to apply for Wellness Release Time. For all other employees, visit your wellness program and check with your HR office to see if your campus or agency participates.

Well onTarget is a health and wellness resource provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas through your Blue Access for Members (BAM) account. Log into BAM and click Well onTarget under the quick links to find self-instructed courses on a variety of wellness topics such as stress, nutrition, and improving your sleep. Work with a wellness coach, or earn Blue Points for completing healthy activities. View the Well onTarget Flyer.

Wondr Health is a program offered to you by your A&M System health plan which helps participants lose weight and decrease the risk factors for metabolic syndrome. It is based on behavior modification instead of dieting. For more information, visit the Wondr Health website.

There is no cost to use the program. In order to participate in Wondr Health, a member must be an employee, spouse or dependent that is 18 years or older enrolled in the A&M Care, 65 PLUS plan and/or J plans. Your eligibility will be determined through a Wondr Health application process.
