Chief Academic Officers

The Academic Council of the Texas A&M University System plays a central role in fostering academic excellence and collaboration among its diverse institutions. Comprising Chief Academic Officers (CAOs) from member universities, the council meets regularly, typically four to six times a year, to engage in robust discussions and strategic planning for current and future academic initiatives. Through this collaborative platform, CAOs exchange best practices, align academic priorities, and address shared challenges, ultimately enhancing the quality and impact of education across the A&M System.
