Off-Campus (F2F) – New Degree Program at RELLIS

All new degree programs to be offered at the RELLIS Academic Alliance must fulfill the Criteria to offer programs at RELLIS and complete the following approvals and notification processes.

Process for RELLIS Approval:

  1. Submit a proposed degree to RELLIS using the form and flowchart of criteria for approval
  2. Review new degree proposal at RELLIS Advisory Committee
  3. Notify provosts of new degrees at CAO meeting

Process for A&M System and THECB Approval:

Institution secures A&M System approval and notifies THECB

  1. Complete the form for approving a new degree being offered by distance education.  Email the completed form to A&M System Academic Affairs / Attn: Stacey Silverman, Ph.D. at academicaffairs@tamus.edu.
  2. THECB requires notification within 50 miles of the institution. This is currently done individually when institutions submit the form to A&M System Academic Affairs who then submits it to THECB.

Annual Notifications for all programs
The RELLIS Academic Alliance Advisory Committee will review programs annually and submit a list of degree programs to A&M System Academic Affairs which will submit a notification to THECB.
