Institutions within the A&M System must submit a completed Academic Certificate Request Form for review before implementing new academic certificate programs. Effective September 1, 2023, UHRI academic certificates no longer require 50-mile notification or prior approval by the THECB. However, institutions must notify the Office of Academic and Health Affairs within 90 days of delivering a new certificate program to ensure compliance with system policies and reporting requirements.
