Appointments
Welcome to the Appointments webpage, which provides a comprehensive resource for understanding the appointment procedures for leadership positions at our member institutions.
The A&M System Board of Regents delegated approval authority to the Chancellor for specific leadership appointments, including regular or interim vice presidents, deans, and deputy/associate directors of agencies. Prior to the Chancellor’s approval, the requests for approval of appointments are reviewed by the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Legal Counsel.
The appointment process ensures efficient decision-making and allows us to support the highest standards of leadership within our system.
Submission Process
Submit the appointment request with all required documents via email to AA-AgendaItems@tamus.edu.

Please ensure that all requests include the following documents:
- A one-page memo, written on university/agency letterhead in MS Word, with the CEO/Director’s electronic signature.
