A&M-Texarkana offers many opportunities for students to get hands-on research experience in the lab.
Located on the border of Texas and Arkansas, Texas A&M University-Texarkana is an upper-level university serving junior, senior and graduate students—and proudly providing the citizens of Northeast Texas and three neighboring states a convenient opportunity to earn a four-year or graduate degree. The average student age is 33. Each semester, approximately 70 percent of students are female and 70 percent are enrolled part-time. Students in Oklahoma and Arkansas attend at in-state tuition rates, and, historically, 30 percent of the student body is from Arkansas. Construction has begun on a new campus on 375 acres near Bringle Lake. When finished, the campus will accommodate 10,000 students.

The Science and Technology Building, the first for A&M-Texarkana’s five-phase multiplex campus, is expected to be completed in June 2008. Construction is scheduled to begin in September on the next building, a 175,000-square-foot, four-story, multipurpose library.
