Texas A&M capital campaign surpasses $1 billion goal
Texas A&M University has exceeded its $1 billion capital campaign goal with 18 months remaining in the seven-year fund-raising drive. As of June 30, donors have committed more than $1.04 billion to benefit students and faculty through enhanced resources for teaching, research and related endeavors.

CDC funds Public Health Preparedness Center at the School of Rural Public Health
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has awarded a five-year, $300,000 grant to establish the USA Center for Rural Public Health Preparedness at the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health.

Texas A&M Engineering receives $2 million homeland security grant
Texas A&M Engineering has been awarded $2 million by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to support an innovative, first-of-its kind testing and evaluation program developed through the Texas Engineering Experiment Station.

WTAMU dancers take first at International Dance Festival
The West Texas A&M University Dance Ensemble brought home the first-place prize for best contemporary dance at the Grand Prix Italia Dance Festival June 21-27 in Cesena, Italy. The group also took second place for best overall choreography.           

A&M-Kingsville students have perfect pass rate on engineering exams
Students in the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering at Texas A&M University-Kingsville students had a 100 percent pass rate on the April 2005 Fundamentals of Engineering examinations, tying the University of Texas-Tyler for the best rate of any engineering college in the state.
