James P. Wilson

James P. “Jim” Wilson of Sugar Land received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting degree from Texas A&M University and began his career in 1981 as a Certified Public Accountant with the international accounting firm of Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young).
Mr. Wilson serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of JK Acquisition Corporation, a Houston-based publicly traded investment firm and is a Founder and Managing Partner of RSTW Partners, a private debt and equity firm he co-founded in 1990.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Mays Business School Development Board and is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the 12th Man Foundation of Texas A&M University.
Mr. Wilson has been a director of a number of corporate and charitable boards including the Fort Bend Education Foundation.
Mr. Wilson was appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Rick Perry in 2007 and was elected to serve a two-year term as Vice Chairman of the Board on May 21, 2009. He serves as chair of the Committee on Audit and as a member of the Buildings and Physical Plant Committee, the Policy Review Committee and the Board for Lease of University Lands. His term on the Board expires
February 1, 2013.
