Lease Agreement Information Requirements
- The name, mailing address, and telephone of the System component
acting in the capacity of lessor;
- Name, mailing address, telephone number, and fax number of lessee;
- Building name, street address, city, state, and zip code of leased
space, or some other form of describing the subject property;
- Lease beginning and ending dates;
- Type of space leased (e.g. office, surface, agricultural, research,
warehouse, storage, radio tower)
- Purpose of the Lease (must have a purpose aligned with educational
mission);
- Amount of space leased (net usable square footage, linear feet,
acres, or other)
- Lease contract rental rate in dollars;
- Whether the space is compliant with, or there is a contractual
requirement for compliance with any federal or state laws or
regulations, (e.g., the Americans with Disabilities Act, Texas
Architectural Barriers Act, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation,
etc.);
- Whether or not janitorial service is provided by the lessee
as part of the Lease contract;
- Whether or not payment of utility bills is provided by the lessee
as part of the Lease contract;
- Any other costs or obligations agreed to by the parties; and
- Any other information relevant to the Lease agreement.
