Mission

Texas is part of a rapidly changing world economy.  Higher education is key for Texans to compete and prosper.  The Texas A&M University System is central to that education effort.  The Chancellor’s Century Council provides opportunities for its members, financial resources for the Chancellor and advice for the System to aid in advancing its mission.

The Chancellor’s Century Council is composed of elected officers including a Chair, Chair-Elect, Past Chair, four regional vice chairs and four at large regional positions.

The membership is divided into four geographic regions within the state of Texas, and one at large region for all members living outside Texas.  Members are affiliated with the region in which they reside.

The chancellor meets with Century Council members as he travels the state.  Additionally, an annual meeting of the membership is held at a System university each spring.
